Skin rejuvenation without Botox or fillers.

What specifically does this machine treat?
This is a treatment that stimulates your own collagen production to improve texture, open pores, pigmentation and the quality of the skin. The radio frequency part is good at reducing jowling. I specially like it for barcode lines around the mouth and loose skin around the eyes. It’s a soothing and reparative treatment for Rosacea prone, sensitive and sun-damaged skin. It is not helpful at adding volume to your tissues, so this treatment will have very minimal effect on deep lines and folds. Overall, this treatment creates a glowing, radiant complexion with reduced lines and a lifted appearance to the skin especially around the jowls.
How does radio frequency microneedling work?
Commonly known devices like Morpheus 8, Secret RF and Dermaforce all use this technology.
Very fine needles are inserted into the skin in a stamping manner and then radio frequency (RF) delivers heat through the tips of the needles. This small wound and deep burn provoke a repair cascade that creates a boost of collagen and a contraction deeper into the tissue.
Is it painful?
Not really, if adequately anaesthetised, most patients say it measures 3-5 out of 10 for discomfort. Although devices like Morpheus 8 have a reputation for being very sore, the methods and devices used in my clinic improve comfort which means the treatment is tolerable. Local anaesthetic is applied beforehand to ease the discomfort and a pain relieving device can be used by you throughout.
What happens during the procedure?
Technology is one thing but knowing how to use this technology is another. It’s best to choose an operator who knows what they are doing to give maximum results and minimal problems.
At our clinic you have a myriad of regenerative procedures given alongside the radiofrequency microneedling and this is to ensure maximum impact with the best longevity of results. This is not a radio frequency microneedling treatment on its own. You are getting several bioregenerative treatments all at one sitting.
Initially, at our clinic, you are given a specific resurfacing treatment, followed by numbing cream, followed by the treatment, then bespoke polynucleotides and exosomes are applied as Mesotherapy and lastly Red and Infrared light targets the treatment area. You are given an at home post procedural balm. All of these modalities symbiotically compliment each other and give you the best possible results.
Is there any downtime?
Immediately after the treatment you will be red with possibly some pin point bruising. Redness usually goes completely by the next day and if you have tiny bruises they usually resolve within 3 days. On day 3 you may see some slight sloughing of the skin but this resolves completely by day 5 or 6.
When can I see results?
By day 10-14 your collagen starts to rev up and you will begin to see a tightness, bounce and radiance to your skin. Because of the cumulative effects of treatments, 3 are often recommended. There will be added bounce and spring back to your skin around 6 months after the last session but it continues to improve even 9 months later. The best thing is, it is your own collagen that is produced and this has a half life of 15 years. This means you get long lasting results and collagen banking. However, this machine doesn’t stop you from ageing so fine lines will creep back. However, if your acne scars have improved with treatment then these stay improved for years to come.
What can go wrong?
Complications are unusual in the right hands. However complications are more likely to occur if the device is not rigorously tested, the practitioner does not choose the correct settings, or treats someone who has contraindications to treatment. Examples of complications and adverse events are; burning of skin; unwanted fat loss in certain areas of face leading to an unsightly sunken appearance (such as in mid cheeks); fibrosis and scarring under the skin; hyperpigmentations in grid marks due to burns; exacerbation of a skin condition or ineffective pain control was provided leading to intense patient discomfort. Patients treated elsewhere, often complain they can not see any results. This may be due to the technician's use of the device or due to a poor quality radio frequency microneedling device.
My advice would be to seek an experienced aesthetic doctor who can discuss the technology and show good before and after images.
